- 1 pound smoked sausage (halal-certified, no pork)
- 4 cups baby potatoes, halved or quartered
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix (halal-certified)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or a mix of your favorite cheeses)
- 1/2 cup sour cream (optional, for serving)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Chop the baby potatoes and slice the smoked sausage.
- In a bowl, mix the ranch seasoning and other spices.
- Toss the potatoes with olive oil and part of the seasoning mixture.
- Spread the potatoes on a baking sheet and add the sliced sausage on top.
- Roast in the oven until everything is golden and tender, about 25-30 minutes.
- Top with cheese and return to the oven until the cheese is melted, around 5-10 minutes.
- Serve warm, optionally with sour cream and fresh parsley.
Notes
For a variation, swap the smoked sausage for turkey or beef, and experiment with different cheeses and vegetables.
